POWDER ACTIVATED CARBON
Powdered activated carbon is used in the purification of liquids in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries, as well as in water treatment. Powdered activated carbon is available in two fundamentally different types:
- Silcarbon TH90, fine-porous material
- Silcarbon CW20, open-pore material, which is often used for the removal of large molecules (e.g., organic colors in food)
Fine porous activated carbon is particularly suitable for the removal of chlorinated hydrocarbons, pesticides, oils, aromatics and aliphatics.
