What is... Purosil 48

Impregnated aluminum oxide consists of highly porous spheres (activated aluminum oxide) impregnated with chemical agents such as potassium permanganate. It works according to the principle of chemisorption: pollutants are not only retained but also permanently converted into harmless salts through oxidation.

Your advantages:

  • Permanent destruction of pollutants: unlike activated carbon, gases are chemically bound and cannot be released again (desorbed)
  • Specialist for problem gases: Outstandingly effective against hydrogen sulphide, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and formaldehyde
  • Long service life: High capacity for cleaning process streams with low pollutant concentrations

The first choice for corrosion control in switch rooms, odor removal in sewage treatment plants and the purification of biogases. Wherever maximum safety against pollutant breakthrough is required.

Features

Purosil 48 is designed for use in demanding purification processes for air and gas streams:

Selective removal of sulfur compounds

Suitable for applications in which hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and similar compounds are to be reduced.

Use in gas purification processes

Designed for use in industrial exhaust air and gas purification systems.

Application-oriented adsorbent material

Designed for specific industrial cleaning tasks involving gases contaminated with odors and pollutants.

Applications

Purosil 48 is used in the treatment of air and gas streams, particularly in processes involving sulfur contamination. Typical applications include:

  • Biogas and landfill gas purification
  • Removal of hydrogen sulfide from process gases
  • Exhaust air treatment in industrial plants
  • Odor reduction in technical gas streams
